How Pet Town collects, uses and protects personal information.
1. Data controller details

2. Information we collect
We collect only information needed to operate the website, answer enquiries and provide services.
- Information you provide: name, phone number, email address, enquiry content and order details you choose to submit.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, operating system, viewed pages and basic operational data.
- Third-party information: payment, delivery or messaging data received from external providers when needed to complete an action.
3. Is providing information required?
Providing contact details in an enquiry form is voluntary, but we cannot respond without a way to contact you. Details required for an order or payment will be identified at the relevant step.
4. How we use information
Information may be used to answer enquiries, provide guidance, process orders, coordinate delivery or collection, improve the website, maintain security, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
5. Payments
Online payments may be processed by the external Cardcom payment provider after the service is connected. Pet Town should not retain full card numbers; the provider’s privacy policy and security requirements also apply.
6. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared with service providers working for us, only as needed and as required by law.
The following providers process data today:
- Hostinger — website hosting, CDN, server logs and backups, and the email service for the pet-town.co.il domain, through which our replies to enquiries are sent and received;
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to message us there;
- Google — if you use the "Sign in with Google" button in the account area: the sign-in is performed by Google, and once it succeeds your name and email address are passed to us.
The parties below are named here in advance and are not involved yet. No data is shared with them today, and this page will be updated when each of them is actually connected:
- payment provider — for online card payments, which are not yet enabled (see the "Payments" section above);
- courier service — for deliveries, once a delivery agreement is in place.
Links to Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps and Waze are followed only by your own action, and the OpenStreetMap map on the contact page is loaded only when you choose to open it; those services process data under their own privacy policies.
7. Transfers outside Israel
Some technology providers may process information outside Israel. Use of the website may therefore involve such processing, subject to applicable law and reasonable safeguards by the providers.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The website may use essential cookies for operation, security, language, cart and forms. Non-essential analytics or marketing tools will be enabled only after consent where required. Browser cookie controls may affect site functionality.

9. Marketing messages
We send marketing messages only where consent or another lawful basis exists. You can unsubscribe at any time using an unsubscribe link, by emailing info@pet-town.co.il or through WhatsApp.
10. Retention periods
Unless a longer period is required by law or to resolve a dispute, the following periods apply:
- contact enquiries and requests to help choose a product or animal — up to 24 months after the last contact;
- incomplete enquiries and abandoned checkout data — up to 30 days;
- account data — until the user deletes the account, or up to 36 months of inactivity;
- orders, payments, refunds, invoices and accounting documents — for the period required by tax law, usually seven years after the end of the relevant tax year;
- correspondence about complaints and legal disputes — until the matter is finally resolved and the applicable limitation period ends;
- evidence of consent or objection to marketing messages — while the consent is valid and up to seven years after it is withdrawn, where needed to demonstrate legal compliance;
- technical security and access-control logs — up to 24 months;
- our own visitor statistics — the pseudonymous visitor identifiers for up to 35 days, after which only anonymous daily counters remain;
- backups — up to 90 days as part of a rolling overwrite cycle;
- the cookie banner choice — up to 12 months, after which consent must be requested again.
At the end of the relevant period, data is deleted, anonymised or securely isolated until the backup is overwritten. At least once a year, Pet Town reviews whether it holds excess or no longer needed personal data.
11. Information security
We use reasonable measures to reduce risks, but no internet-connected system is completely secure. If you suspect a security incident, contact us using the details below.

You can use these contact details to request access to your personal data, its correction, update or deletion, and to withdraw consent to optional processing and marketing messages.
A request should include enough information to identify the requester and the data the request relates to. Before providing data, Pet Town may verify the requester's identity by reasonable means.
Deletion may be limited where retention is necessary to fulfil an order, for accounting and tax records, to defend legal claims, to prevent fraud, or to meet another legal obligation.
13. Children
The website is not directed to children. Do not submit a child’s personal information without a parent or guardian’s consent. If we learn that such information was collected, we will seek to delete it where possible and lawful.
14. External links and services
The website may link to WhatsApp, Waze, Facebook, Instagram, maps, payment providers and other services. Those services have their own privacy policies, which apply to their processing.
15. Policy changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will be published on the website with an update date.
