A single large river stone, and the largest piece on its page at fifty-five centimetres across. It is a smooth, flattened boulder, rounded on every edge with no cut or broken faces, and the surface carries faint horizontal banding where the stone weathered in layers. The colour runs from a warm grey-brown across the top to a darker, cooler grey towards the base, and the underside is flat enough for the stone to sit still without support. Dimensions: 55x40x28 cm.
