ReeFlowers Iceland Black Sand is a natural black quartz aquarium substrate produced by ReeFlowers (Turkey), part of the manufacturer's soft-water/Discus-friendly substrate range. It is cleaned and sterilised via ultra-filtration and activated carbon with no chemical treatment, so it does not alter aquarium pH, gH or kH. Grains are smooth with no sharp edges, giving nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria a stable surface while being gentle on sensitive fish such as Discus.
