ReeFlowers Detox-Zeolite is a natural zeolite formed from volcanic lava reacted with marine water. It binds ammonia, hydrogen sulphide and similar toxic decay products, helping to raise water clarity and oxygen levels and to remove odour, and it supports the beneficial bacteria of biological filtration. The manufacturer gives a dosage of about 120 ml (roughly 100 g) per 100 L in fresh water and 60 ml (about 50 g) per 100 L in salt water, renewed monthly; used to build up a bacterial colony, the medium is rinsed quarterly and lasts up to three years.
