Boyd Enterprises Chemi-pure Elite adds granular ferric oxide (GFO) to the original Chemi-pure formula to also strip phosphates and silicates, on top of stabilising pH, removing dissolved organics, filtering metals and odours, and reducing nuisance algae. It ships pre-packed in a nylon filter bag with QuickWash Carbon, lasts 2-4 months, and is rinsed briefly before going into a high-flow spot in a sump, canister or HOB filter; sizes run from 3 oz (0-10 gallons) to 46 oz (175-200 gallons).
