The tallest of the supplier's bonsai ornaments, and the most upright: a single dark trunk runs almost straight from base to crown, and the branches leave it in near-horizontal tiers, three to a side, each carrying a flat pad of bright-green needle tufts. Because the trunk is not curved, the layers stack squarely one above another and the piece reads as taller and narrower than the others in the group. Short grass tufts ring the foot on a pale, sand-coloured base. Height 40 cm. It comes from the supplier's range of silk and plastic aquarium plants.
