A low, wide planting of split leaves. Each leaf is large, glossy and cut deeply in from both edges towards the centre rib, and they are carried almost horizontally on short stems, so the piece covers ground rather than gaining height. The greens vary sharply between leaves — some a light, wet-looking green, others so dark they read as near-black in the photograph — which keeps a mass of one leaf shape from looking flat. Height 20 cm. It comes from the supplier's range of silk and plastic aquarium plants.
