A very wide artificial sea fan, over a metre across: a stout magenta trunk divides into half a dozen magenta limbs, and each of those carries a separate fan of extremely fine ochre-gold mesh, so the crown reads as several overlapping fans rather than one. The mesh is open enough to see straight through. Dimensions: 110x8x60 cm. It comes from the supplier's range of flexible artificial corals and reefs, which the catalogue lists for freshwater aquariums.
