A very large artificial sea fan, worked as an open lattice rather than a filled blade: a short violet trunk rises out of a mottled rock foot and divides again and again into hundreds of fine, twig-like arms that fan out into a broad crown, with daylight visible between them. The arms are moulded in a bright cornflower blue and the trunk in violet-purple. Dimensions: 100x100 cm. It comes from the supplier's range of rigid artificial corals and reefs, which are offered for marine and freshwater aquariums alike.
