3D AC (AC 3D Filter Media, manufacturer item code ZACT18) is a ceramic biological filtration medium with an interconnected pore structure (approx. 1850 m2 of surface area per litre, 80-90% open porosity, bulk density 0.4 g/cc) for beneficial-bacteria colonisation that removes ammonia and nitrite in aquariums and ponds. Recommended dosing is 1 L of media per 500 L of water. Sizes: 1 L and 5 L. Manufacturer: Onlyzone Water Treatment Technology Co., Ltd (brand: AC / Aqua Clean). This 'AC'/'Aqua Clean' filter-media brand is unrelated to ReeFlowers' 'Aqua Clear' water clarifier (see p120-10) - the similar English names are coincidental.
